City mattepainting
A post-apocalyptic matte painting created as a personal study to practice and refine my Photoshop compositing, photobashing, and environment storytelling skills during my first role as a Photoshop artist.
About this work
This personal project was created to strengthen my matte painting workflow and deepen my Photoshop skills. At the time, I had just started working professionally as a Photoshop artist and wanted to push beyond basic compositing by building believable environments from multiple photographic sources. The focus was on composition, lighting, color grading, atmospheric perspective, and seamlessly blending assets into a cohesive post-apocalyptic scene while maintaining a strong visual narrative.
